Why we offer group consultations
Group consultations are a way to bring together people for support with long-term conditions, helping them to better manage their own health and share their experiences and learning.
We offer group consultations for people with lower back, knee, or shoulder pain. A group consultation builds confidence, gives hope and inspires you to change your health habits.
The consultations last 90 minutes and have up to ten people in the group. There will be two clinicians present throughout the session.
What happens after this group consultation?
In your group consultation, you will design a personalised action plan to support your rehabilitation.
You will receive information on how to maximise your bone, joint and muscle health, relevant to your goals.
Following this, we will discuss the next step in your care. This may include:
- Supported self-management
- Group exercise classes
- Review with a physiotherapist
- Referral for a scan or X-ray
- Referral to a surgeon
