We embed equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) throughout our organisation and commit to delivering inclusivity for all our patients and colleagues. We are dedicated to delivering healthcare services in unity with our partners and the NHS.
Our goal is to provide equal care for all, and to receive and deliver care along with a colleague focus in making Cora a great place to work.
Our EDI strategic aims are:
- To be service equal
- To be workforce equal
- To be Equal, Diverse & Inclusive by Mainstreaming
- To be Progressive of ED&I through Governance, policy, and decision-making
We focus on three different areas to commit to embedding EDI throughout the organisation.
Colleague Focus
The consensus of the committee discussions recognised the importance of creating a diverse and inclusive organisation where colleagues can be themselves. By ensuring consistency and inclusivity across the board, we aim to foster a supportive and welcoming work environment for all.
Patient Focus
Building strong relationships with patients and involving them in decision- making processes. By actively seeking patient feedback, suggestions, and experiences, we can better understand their needs, concerns, and aspirations. This priority emphasises the importance of incorporating the patient perspective in shaping and improving our services. This results in a more patient-centred and responsive offer.
Communication and Outreach
Effective communication plays a key role in promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion. By strengthening communication efforts, we aim to foster transparency, engagement, and collaboration, ensuring that the voices of all stakeholders are heard and valued.
