The Oxfordshire Community Ultrasound Service provides access to diagnostic ultrasound for people living in Oxfordshire.
Services are delivered from community-based locations, making care available closer to home and supporting timely diagnosis and treatment.
What we do
Ultrasound scans are used to produce images of the inside of the body using sound waves.
They help healthcare professionals to:
- Investigate symptoms
- Support diagnosis
- Monitor existing conditions
Ultrasound is a safe, commonly used imaging method that does not involve radiation.
Who can access the service
This service is available to people registered with a GP surgery in Oxfordshire. Referrals can be made by GPs and some other healthcare professionals.
