Karen qualified from Keele University in 2015 where she spent some time working in Stoke on Trent with the NHS across their community MSK and Rheumatology service. She also spent some time working as a Physiotherapist with Stoke Centre of Excellence, ladies football team and the FA on various projects in the midlands.
Karen has a special interest in public health and enabling people to access services in their community to help long-term health outcomes.
She has undertaken a Non-Medical Prescriber course allowing her to prescribe for MSK conditions and have more informed conversations about people’s medications risks and optimising use. This support is useful to help people who would like to reduce or come off medications that are no longer effective but come with side effects and dependence.
