This service offers self-referral via PhysioNow for people aged 18 years or over.

Please note – You must be registered with a GP in Basildon and Brentwood. If you are registered under a Thurrock GP you will need to be referred to your local physiotherapy provider by your GP.

A family or friend can refer you to the service if you are unable to do so. Please note that they will need to provide your name, date of birth, address and NHS number. If you have a question about our service, you can call us on 01268 904 102.

What happens after your GP referral

  • Referral received: Once we receive your GP referral, we’ll register it in our system.
  • Appointment notification: We’ll contact you when an appointment becomes available—this may be via phone or text. You’ll receive an email and/or text message with the earliest available appointment.
  • Confirm or decline: The message will include a link allowing you to confirm or decline the appointment.
